May Nervous System Check-In ✻
(~4-minute read)
Hello May!
Towards the end of April and into May, I prioritized regulation and started to notice my system finding a new rhythm within this expanded energy, it feels really good.
April brought momentum, drive, and a stronger urge to take action. Now, stepping into May, that energy doesn’t just continue, it intensifies.
Days grow longer as daylight expands, schedules get fuller, and stimulation increases. Naturally, this shifts the nervous system into higher activation.
This month, the risk is overextension disguised as momentum.
Let’s dive in!
MAY INSIGHTS
As daylight peaks and activity increases, your nervous system moves further into output mode.
In Ayurvedic terms, May sits in mid-Pitta season, where fire energy fuels focus, execution, and intensity, but can easily tip into overheating without regulation.
This month, you might notice:
- Stronger focus and execution capacity
- A tendency to take on more as momentum builds
- Subtle impatience or pressure to keep performing
- Difficulty “switching off”
May is about learning how to hold intensity without letting it consume your capacity.
